kony video

When i stepped into class and saw that we were going to
what the video all night long was mentioned on facebook
i was hooked from the beginning. I did not really understand
in the beginning why the teacher was showing us this video. When
we were done with the video we all started commenting on the video,
we really didected it and i understood it very well and why the teacher was
presenting this topic to the class. When we where done talking about the video
I was amazed at how much we had gotten out of this video.

This week some of my classmates and I presented
to the classroom the speech we went to of Proffesor James
In past years I would get very nervous to just think about getting
up and talking in front of my classmates, but this time
around i was excited to tell them about my experience.

This reaction even surprised myself because I had no idea
that i felt this way about presenting to this particular class. I felt like I
was just telling friends or people I knew what i did. Not like past experiences
that I was so nervous to present to a bunch of strangers.

I chose my mom because she has inspired me to be like her
I admire her so much that I want to be just like her
I want to teach children just like her
I want to care about students just like her 
I want to work hard just like her
All because I love her 

Allergies, Allergies, Allergies !

 I have been diagnosed to many rare allergies so
I had to go to the hospital immediatly.
This is so stressful because someof the other rare allergies I have is...
CHICKEN and HENA INK.
I have suffered so much because I have to be so careful
with what I eat and do because of my allergies. 

Who doesn't hate them?

Well I am literally tired of allergies, this past weekend
I was in bed for four days with my face all swollen because I was recently
diagnosed with a new allergy.
Allergic to hair dye...yes hair dye!
Even though it sound ridiculously crazy it is true.
I went to get my hair dyed this past Thursday and the next day woke up
with my head all swollen. This was disgusting!
Why am I sharing this with you?
Well because that is why I was not able to attend
This Monday to class. It was the first time I was absent and
I don't  plan on missing another class.
I missed out on many class assignments, but luckily my awesome
classmates from class had my back :)

Our new groups where formed on Mondays class
I was excited to know who would be part of my group
when we where in groups we had to make an exercise
of balloons which represented many different obstacles
that could get in the way of our learning.
For example; being on time to class,
studying for exams, being clean, have ink on printer, etc.
This exercise was fun and helped the whole group
know each other little by little.
this exercise was fun and I am looking forward to work
with my group again and not let them down.

worth knowing...

Some thing I think is worth knowing is that I was 
very unsure if I was going to stay in the class...
Eventually I decided to stay in the class because of the friendly environment
I felt when I went into class every day. Also the proffesors
attitude towards each and every student.
What really convinced me that I made a good decision
was great experience I had by going to the retreat!
In this retreat I got to now many classmates and
every one was so nice and friendly that I am looking forward
to spending the rest of the semester in the class.

Why am I in english 115?
well eventually this is a class for me to transfer to sdsu
this was the only english class left and i said why not ?
every thing happens for a reason and im happy to be in this bayan learning community!

i am going to college to become a teacher
why a teacher ?
like the proffesor said ..do something you love and why not get paid for that !

i love being around kids especially the little ones
my mother and my sister are both teachers
my mom is a elementry teacher and i grew up going to her school
and seeing her what she loved to do
she is my inspiration !
